Sameera Reddy has been missing in action for some time now, but the actress promises to be back with a bang, beginning this month. "I have a very exciting line-up of films with some great directors and co-stars.
I am really looking forward to 2006. Viewers will see me in a wide variety of roles." And when Sameera Reddy says that, you better believe her.

The lady not only has Buddhadeb Dasgupta's Kaal Purush where she plays an ambitious wife, up her sleeve, there is also Taxi No. 9211 opposite John Abraham, and Benaam, amongst others. Kaal Purush, according to her, is a film that is done "for the love of acting.

I worked very hard on my diction and mannerisms for the role and I am happy that the effort has paid off." The film, which has already done the rounds of festivals, has garnered plenty of acclaim for her.
"There is a conscious effort to do a different role with every film. And that's why I am being very selective when it comes to signing films," she reveals.
Despite being the youngest of the Reddy sisters, it was Sameera who first made her debut in Bollywood, to be followed by Sushma. "I loved her in Chocolate. I think she rocked and will go places, watch out," says Sameera.
And how do the siblings find time to spend with each other, given their hectic schedules? "We manage either by taking vacations or going out for meals together whenever there is the chance. My family is my support structure, without them I will not be where I am."
